Emmitt is a mellow, healthy, 70 pound foxhound who loves to go on walks, knows 'sit' and 'paw,' and is very easy to handle. Many believe his 9 years is too old, but we know how much love seniors have left to share! Emmitt is truly a sweet dog, who likes people, dogs, and cats – but most especially his naps!! Well, he is also a bit fond of his food and toys so, he is fed separate from other household dogs to avoid resource guarding.
First surrendered to Baltimore county shelter, Emmitt waited longer than usual for a rescue to pull him to safety – there was no interest due to his age. AAHA stepped in with a committed foster which ended up being temporary. Poor sweet Emmitt now finds himself homeless once again.
We know Emmitt has previously done well living with children, cats, and other dogs. Could your loving household share their hearts with this sweet and mellow senior?!! 💜
Emmitt is a neutered male with up-to-date vaccinations.
