This gorgeous girl is looking for a new home due to changes in her owner's living situation. She is a 4 year old hound/boxer/pit mix. Besides being cute as a button, Harper is also super-loyal. She follows her humans around the house everywhere!

She's an expert at fetch with a ball and loves to exercise. Harper is also smart and shows off her response to commands “Sit,” “lay,” “paw,” “stay,” and “off.” She's able to be left out of her kennel in the house for up to 8 hours. Harper sleeps at her humans feet when in the living room. Also, at bedtime, she likes sleeping with her people. But, if told to sleep in her dog bed, she’ll listen. Harper takes treats and food gently. She’s never chewed anything the family owns – even as a puppy – or gotten into trash ... or tried table-surfing. She hates baths and nail trims but is still a complete peach for them.

Harper currently lives in Hagerstown and has a fenced yard; although that is not a requirement for an adopter. She loves to be outside and sun-bathe or play ball and Frisbee. She doesn't do well with young children but if an adopter only has young kids coming over every once in a while she is fine staying in a bedroom quietly and patiently during the visit. A home with older, considerate kids is preferred; as the unpredictable movements and noises of younger kids make her nervous.

Harper is super-smart, very easy to train, and willing to work and listen.

Right now she lives with 3 other dogs and a cat but would do best in a quieter home with only one other dog or a cat. 💜
