Sunshine

Sunshine is a soft and sweet 47 pound, 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She was picked up as a stray from PG County and immediately graced the lives of all the volunteers when AAHA brought her into the rescue.

Sunshine is a happy, friendly girl who loves and seeks attention. She is super-playful with her toys; leaping, jumping, and tossing them about! A joy to just watch her enjoying the world. She bonds quick and hard with people and loves to give hugs and sit on your lap. She walks well on leash and when meeting another dog, Sunshine is calm, appropriate, and a little reserved.

Upon arriving at AAHA, Sunshine had to undergo emergency surgery a day after her spay surgery to fix internal bleeding. She is currently in temporary foster as she recovers. She is very special to our volunteers so, please come meet our miracle pup!! 💜
