Meet Oliver, a young, playful, and affectionate, 150 pound Anatolian Shepherd Mix; a true "gentle giant" that just wants to be loved! Oliver was rescued from an abusive situation and he is now doing very well with the rescue volunteers! He enjoys being in the water, running, giving hugs, and being close to people; he’s a big lap dog! 💜
Oliver takes to women right away – just adores them. But he needs a period of time to develop trust with most men, which could take a few days if they are respectful of his space and allow him to come to them.
We would like for Oliver to be adopted by an owner who is familiar with this type of breed. Due to Oliver's size and background, when applying you'll need to have a veterinary reference that can verify you have experience with this breed or similar. In addition, we'd like for him to go to a home without children or other pets, and with a large yard where he can run. Consequently, home visit is required of all applicants for Oliver.
Oliver is a house-trained neutered male with up-to-date vaccinations.
He would be good in a home with an experienced adopter.
