Sammy
Sammy is super-friendly with everyone he meets! He was found in a meadow freezing cold in January, covered in mud, severely emaciated, and unable to even stand up. He was rushed to an ER, released to our care, and is now in a wonderful foster home where his spirit is much brighter and his tail wags constantly!!
Since being in foster care Sammy has gained weight and is finally able to show his playful side. He is doing wonderful with his foster sister, Sass. Sammy shows no aggression at all despite the poor treatment he faced in his past and is very treat-motivated – taking them ever so gently! He knows sit, bedtime, and kennel-time. Sammy walks well on a leash and has almost mastered the dog door in his foster home. He is a lap dog that wants to be in your space with you and loves to give kisses and snuggles. What a love bug after all that he has had to endure! 💜
Sammy would be good in a home with other dogs and Children.
Sammy will be ready for adoption once he’s gained weight and can be neutered.
